Only one piece of this ancient brass relic is known to exist, now believed to be in the possession of a private collector in South India (probably Bangalore city). We wish to locate this collector and buy the item for a price of USD $ 10. 00 million. We will further reward the individual or organization that will locate this private collector or the original piece for us. The reverse of this brass plaque (as shown in the photograph) is so crude and rough that it provides the best way to trace the original. It is like a finger-print and cannot be duplicated. The rare photographs shown here are of the genuine piece, taken by an Indian journalist in 1960.

It is shaped like a large locket with 12-animal Chinese-type calender symbols on its front face. It is disc-shaped but has an imperfect (irregular) circle. It was made between circa 812 AD and 824 AD in the region of Mount Kailash in India.

It resembles a crude brass plate, reportedly thick along one arc (edge) of its circumference and thin along the others. A small projection in the form of a brass loop on the top circumference to pass a string or thong.

Close to the edge of the brass plate are tiny circles forming a chain of spots (dots).

Towards the centre are eight sets of three broken lines placed in an octogen as seen on a Korean flag, within a serrated circle of 5.9 cm dia. The centre has worm-like symbolic markings drawn in nine boxes. Dividing the circle into nine parts with serrated lines forms the boxes.

Its weight is exactly 220 grams. The Diameter from top to bottom (vertically) is 10.3 cms. Horizontally it is 10.6 cms. The loophole at the top is about 3 mm dia to allow a string or thong.

We will only consider payment on showing proof of having located this item, especially by matching it with the 1960 photographs. The reverse must match exactly.
