All planks must consist of straight grown and healthy wood.
They must be cut out sharp-edged and right-angled (900).
IMPORTANT: A split cut must be possible parallel to the wide face!

Rotten and black knots not allowed

Color difference: Brown rotten wood not allowed ribbon appearance not allowed

Grain: Wide ringed not allowed
Plain cut
Bark pocket not allowed
Heart(pith) not allowed
Reaction wood not allowed
Ring shake not allowed
Spirally grown not allowed

Sapwood: Horizontal sapwood not allowed
Vertical sapwood not allowed

Cracks: End checks not allowed
Area cracks not allowed

Miscellaneous: Insert damage/attack not allowed
Fungus infection not allowed
Moisture content fresh or KD, MC min8% max. 12%.
